A successful visit from ORIO

A delegation from ORIO has visited PWN Technologies. ORIO – the Dutch acronym for Facility for Infrastructure Development – is a financing fund that was set up by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to stimulate the development of public infrastructure (such as water mains, roads, telephone networks and so on) in developing countries. There is an annual available budget of 180 million Euros. Only the central governments of developing countries may apply to the fund. For each project, total project costs can amount to between two and sixty million Euros.

Robert Kools and Holly Shorney-Darby have joined PWN Technologies. Robert Kools, MSc has joined PWN Technologies as Director Engineering and Design. He will manage the design and engineering activities of the SIX and CeraMac technologies worldwide. Holly Shorney-Darby, PhD, PE has joined PWN Technologies as a senior process engineer in the R&D team.  She will manage pilot-scale studies of the SIX and CeraMac technologies and will participate in research to optimize these treatment processes in drinking water treatment plants.

MOU: further collaboration in advanced water treatment

PWN Technologies and PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on January 23, 2013 detailing further areas of collaboration in advanced water treatment. Both parties will work together to realize scientific and technological benefits by developing knowledge-intensive programs and projects.

Jonathan Clement appointed as new CEO PWN Technologies

Velserbroek, The Netherlands - The Supervisory Board of PWN Water Supply Company North Holland (PWN) in the Netherlands has appointed Mr. Jonathan Clement as CEO of PWN Technologies. He will take over the CEO position from Pieter Spohr on May 1, 2013. Pieter Spohr was leading the company over three years, from a start-up to a robust internationally known organization with very strong economic potential.

PWN Technologies Water Innovator of the Year 2012

PWN Technologies is elected Dutch Water Innovator of the Year 2012 with it SIX and CeraMac technologies. The combination of ion exchange (SIX) and ceramic membranes (CeraMac) results in higher water quality, a lower environmental load and lower energy consumption in the production of drinking water. The jury found the combination of these techniques so innovative, that they awarded PWN Technologies.

R&D facility PWN Technologies one of the largest wet labs worldwide

The enlarged R&D facility of PWN Technologies is one of the largest wet labs in the world. It offers 1000m2 pilot lab and 350m2 office space. Thus says mr. Gilbert Galjaard, director R&D, after the completion of the construction. The extra space is very much needed; the R&D program for 2013-2016 is fully booked.
